The Almanac's Take

The board is thin today — 119 lines are priced but the model returns zero top plays, and none of the entries carry a projection or a positive edge worth surfacing. Worth noting the methodology caveat: this model's Poisson approximation runs conservative on overs, so real over edges are slightly better than reported, but when the model finds nothing even on that generous read, there's nothing to push. If you're hunting TB overs on your own, lean toward half-point lines where the push-rule distortion doesn't apply. Otherwise, this is a skip.

  • ·Integer lines (e.g. line=2.0) are treated as 'over wins on ≥2', which slightly overstates over_prob vs sportsbook push rules. Half-point lines (X.5) — the near-universal case for these markets — are unaffected.
Planned improvement: Replace Poisson tail with ML simulation prop_probs (src/projections/ml/simulation.py) once the sim emits the needed thresholds (TB ≥1/≥4/≥5; full K grid) and the backtest validates calibration improvement.
