The Almanac's Take
Thin three-game slate today, all projections at medium confidence, so treat everything here with appropriate skepticism. Roupp is the clearest arm on the board — 6.2 projected Ks over 6.2 projected innings against Cincinnati, and the matchup grades out as the best of the three. Burns draws the opposite read: a 2.54 season ERA suggests real ability, but the matchup grades unfavorable and the projection only gets him to 5.1 innings with 5.3 Ks. Bubic is similar length (5.1 projected IP) against Detroit with an unfavorable tag, making Roupp the lone starter here with both the matchup quality and projected workload working in his direction.
