The Almanac's Take

Only two games have confirmed lineups so far, so the slate is thin — work with what's here. The most interesting wrinkle is Casey Schmitt hitting seventh for San Francisco despite 12 home runs and an .846 OPS; that's real production buried where plate appearances dry up. On the Cincinnati side, Elly De La Cruz (.852 OPS, 12 HR) bats third with Sal Stewart (.828 OPS, 12 HR) right behind him — a tight, productive pairing worth targeting together. Detroit's Dillon Dingler at cleanup is the other name to watch: 14 home runs with an .840 OPS is a genuine middle-of-the-order presence.
