Cole is walking nobody (2.4 BB/9, 3.4 K/BB) in seven starts, and the 23-PA head-to-head is too thin to lean on — Duran's 3-for-21 with 12 strikeouts in that sample is a footnote, not a trend. The 89.0 mph average exit velocity in those meetings at least suggests some contact quality, but the 29.7% strikeout rate this season is a real concern against a pitcher this sharp with the zone.
