The Almanac's Take

Only one game has a confirmed lineup so far, and it's partial — the away side is still missing. On the Detroit half, the number that stands out is Dillon Dingler hitting third with 14 home runs and an .833 OPS, which is a surprising amount of production from a catcher in that slot. Riley Greene at fifth is the other piece worth watching: six home runs feels light for his reputation, but a .873 OPS says the contact quality is there. Thin slate — check back once the away lineup posts before building anything around this game.
